Welcome to the LOOPS'17 Conference webpage.

The conference is o
rganized by Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw and will be held

from 03 July to 07 July 2017,

at the Faculty of Physics of University of Warsaw,
Warsaw, Poland.

The Loops'17 conference will highlight recent developments and new research directions in loop quantum gravity and other background independent approaches to the problem of quantum gravity.

A nonexhaustive list of topics of the conference includes:

  • Canonical loop quantum gravity
  • Covariant LQG (spin foams)
  • Symmetry-reduced models
  • Quantum cosmology
  • Black holes in quantum gravity
  • Quantum gravity phenomenology
  • Foundational and mathematical aspects

Although the conference is focused on non-perturbative approaches to quantum gravity, experts from other fields of quantum gravity research are also encouraged to participate.

Loops'17 is the most recent conference in a long tradition of meetings focused on loop quantum gravity, which have recently been organized approximately once every two years. The previous conferences in the series were:

  • 1995: Banach Center of Mathematics, Warsaw, Poland: Workshop on Canonical & Quantum Gravity, 24-31 May, 1995 (program).
  • 1997: Banach Center of Mathematics, Warsaw, Poland: Workshop on Canonical & Quantum Gravity II, 26 May - 6 June, 1997.
  • 2001: Banach Center of Mathematics, Warsaw, Poland: Workshop on Canonical & Quantum Gravity III, 7-19 June, 2001.
  • 2004: CPT Marseille, France: Non Perturbative Quantum Gravity: Loops and Spin Foams, 3-7 May 2004.
  • 2005: Albert Einstein Institute Golm, Germany: Loops '05, 10-14 October 2005 (link).
  • 2007: Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico: Loops '07, 25-30 June 2007 (link).
  • 2008: University of Nottingham, UK: Quantum Gravity and Quantum Geometry, 30 June - 4 July 2008 (link).
  • 2009: Beijing Normal University, China: Loops '09, 2-7 August 2009 (link).
  • 2011: IEM CSIC Madrid, Spain: Loops '11, 23-28 May 2011 (link).
